Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi NTP in January 2019 was recorded at 93.82 or decreased by 1.17 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 94.93. The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTPP) 89.15; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 93.62; Community Plantation Crop Subsector (NTPR) 84.69; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 105.24 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 116.41. Whereas the National NTP Index was 103.33, up by 0.16 percent from the previous 103.16.
In January 2019, 15 national provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 18 other provinces experienced a decline in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Riau Province which amounted to 2.59 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Papua Province at 1.58 percent.
In January 2019, Southeast Sulawesi Province experienced rural inflation of 0.47 percent. This happened because of an increase in the price index in all household consumption groups, namely the foodstuffs group rose 0.48 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.22 percent; housing group 0.88 percent; clothing group 0.60 percent; health group 0.63 percent; the education, recreation and sports group 0.18 percent; and from the transportation and communication group rose by 0.38 percent.
